Sam The Sham Still Wasting Taxpayer Dollars

Farr Piggy

When it comes to saving taxpayer dollars, U.S. Rep. Sam Farr receives low marks, according to a study released Monday by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste.

Farr, D-Carmel, scored just 5 percent on the group’s annual congressional rating. The score was lower than both the average 9 percent for House Democrats and the average 29 percent for House members.

The group rated 21 key votes in the Senate, including votes to reduce spending in appropriations bills, enact earmark reform and repeal the estate tax. The average Senate score was 44 percent.

Fish Prison Ranked #8 US Attraction

The Monterey Bay Aquarium was ranked No. 8 on the list of the 10 top attractions for travelers in the United States today by TripAdvisor — the world’s largest travel community.

The list of top attractions is based on both the evaluation of TripAdvisor editors and traveler popularity as reflected in online opinions posted by TripAdvisor’s 6 million members.

It beats the San Diego Zoo, that’s surprising. And a fountain in Vegas, no surprise. Not as good as a rooftop in New York or a closed down prison though.

From Yahoo! News, The List:

1.Orlando, Florida
2.Cirque du Soleil, Las Vegas, Nevada
3.Hana Highway, Maui, Hawaii
4.Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
5.Central Park, New York City, New York
6.Alcatraz, San Francisco, California
7.Top of the Rock Observation Deck, New York,New York
8.Monterey Bay Aquarium, Monterey Bay, California
9.Bellagio Fountains, Las Vegas, Nevada

Is this related in any way to another recent PG child molester arrest? See article on Sunny Kavil from 5/25, also arrested for child molesting, he was reported as working “at the American Tin Cannery”.

Also reported in the Hear-Old:

David Russell Stamm, 45, of Pacific Grove was arrested Monday with four counts of lewd acts with a minor that police say took place in 2000 and 2001.

Lynn Nicole Feurer Claims Domestic Abuse

Nicole Fuere

A Seaside High School teacher arrested on suspicion of murdering her longtime partner said she was the victim of constant domestic abuse and was defending herself at the time of his death, a police report says.

Lynn Nicole Feurer said she recalled wrestling with Cupita and being on top of him on a bed on the second floor of their apartment on the 300 block of Eighth Street in Pacific Grove, the report says.

At one point during the fight, Feurer told Uretsky, Cupita stopped fighting — or moving at all, the document states.

Odd is that this was only reported in the Salinas Clownifornian.

Sam The Sham Farr Named ‘Porker Of The Month’

Farr Piggy

Citizens Against Government Waste today named Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, the nation’s Porker of the Month for adding $25 million for spinach growers to the fiscal 2007 emergency supplemental bill.

The House of Representatives will soon vote on the U.S. Readiness, Veterans’ Health and Iraq Accountability Act of 2007, which costs $21 billion more than the President’s request — mostly because of domestic spending unrelated to military operations added by lawmakers to the bill.

Sam The Sham loves to spend our money. Not in any way that is helpful to most Americans, just those that vote like him, in lock step with Democrats. Heck, if Farr needed to make a right turn, he’d spend more time and money by turning left three times.

Back in October the Californian reported
that Sam was requesting ‘only’ 6 million for e. coli research. Looks like with each left turn the cost goes up . . .

Recycling Is Good For Environment . .

But stinks for businesses and citizens

Salinas police said Wednesday they have arrested a man suspected of stealing about 300 bronze vases in the past week from Garden of Memories Cemetery on Abbott Street.

Officers arrested Paul Bruno, 55, who was seen removing vases from the cemetery and selling them at area recycling centers, police said.

Recycling was supposed to be a good thing, but now it’s bringing criminals into our neighborhoods and workplaces. First we had roving bands cleaning out curbside recycle bins that were meant to help keep disposal costs down, now we have modern day grave robbers desecrating cemeteries, and recently thieves stealing copper plumbing and wiring – causing thousands of dollars in damage for a few bucks worth of wine or meth.

Scrap dealers now need to be regulated like pawnbrokers. Get positive ID on anyone bringing scrap metals . .
