Pacific Grove Police Department issued a citation on Friday, Nov. 29, after receiving six complaints related to violations of the business’ license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), which prohibits any audible music outside the premises after 10pm. (“Multiple subjects contacted dispatch to complain about the loud music and alcohol consumption beyond the allotted ABC permit time frame,” Cmdr. Brian Anderson says.)

Weakly Endorses Poduri

Shocked? Couple of errors in that gushing review. The citizens of P.G voted for the hotel at ATC and the potato round about is not behind PG High.

Also endorses Tina Rau, the hateful DEI Chairperson.

Since being elected to the City Council in 2020 as a freshly minted U.S. citizen, Chaps Poduri has proven to be to be a bright light among local politicians. He rightfully voted in
favor of the hotel project at the former American Tin Cannery, pledged his support for the takeover of Cal Am, voted for establishing a cannabis dispensary in P.G., advocated for a skate park in town, he has sought to add support and defense for the much-maligned Diversity Equity and Inclusion task force, voted against requiring restaurants to dismantle their parklets and using city funds to replace them. He spearheaded the process to study the dangerous five-way intersection behind P.G. High School, and that work has produced a $5 million grant from TAMC and approved plans for a teardrop-shaped roundabout.

City Council Candidates Controverting Concerns

Five of six candidates for Pacific Grove City Council debated the town’s most pressing topics Sept. 17 at Monarch Pines Resort. Those speaking included Luke Coletti, Paul Walkingstick, Tina Rau, Carmelita Garcia and Chaps Poduri. The only candidate absent was Chilla Kartalov. An incumbent member of the city council, Coletti told the audience he is running for reelection because “I want to continue to preserve the residential character of our community and the quality of life we share. “

Plop And Miss. Who Thought This Was Good For P.G?

A used record store that serves alcohol. Pricey. Perhaps sell a few bibles, too?

Owner is a come-here Micheala Kuenster, the designer that was a part of Tina Rau’s (losing) 2022 campaign for P.G. City Council. Tina Rau owns the building that Pop And Hiss occupies. Same Tina Rau that hates Christians.Tina hates religious believers

Yelp Reviews

In my opinion the drinks are a bit overpriced for what you’re getting and the records themselves (like all records) are absurdly overpriced.

I ordered a vodka tonic which wasn’t half bad but came in the tiniest plastic cup you can imagine, and my wife got a local beer (Alvarado Mai Tai I think?). As mentioned earlier, it was overpriced but nothing crazy. After tip, the total came out to $24 for 2 drinks.

Unfortunately, when I attended the soft opening, the owner was too drunk to speak. By the end of the event, I got extremely sick. It is highly likely that someone slipped something into my drink

Soft opening was unorganized and unsafe. I hope the business improves.

City Council Fires Tina Rau

No to Tina Rau and other divisive applicants. Don’t forget.

Resident Carol Marquart at the Jan. 9 meeting echoed a growing number of residents’ concerns that the DEI task force is only inclusive and accepting of citizens who are in lockstep with its goals, and she called for new members to replace the incumbents.

“I’d like to see a new group of people with the same passion that you have — only less divisive,” Marquart said at the meeting.

For example, after it was discovered late last year that Rau had mocked Catholics and other Christians in a Twitter post, Rau doubled down on the comment and initially refused to apologize. Her task force colleagues also refused at first to condemn the anti-Christian comments — which some called hypocritical considering the task force promotes “diversity and inclusion.”

Losers Keep On Losin’

Hello Loser

Wachs has not lived in P.G. long enough to contribute anything of substance. And Tina Rau was an embarrassment.

Pacific Grove Mayor Bill Peake’s appointments to the city’s boards and commissions raised some eyebrows when the list was released in an agenda report for the P.G. City Council meeting taking place tonight, Jan. 18. In one case, it appears he snubbed his political opponent in the Nov. 7 election, Mike Wachs.

The chair of the DEI Task Force, Tina Rau, was also rejected in her bid to remain on the task force, in a surprising move by Peake who rejected two other members who wanted to retain their seats. He did appoint one woman, Marie Hunter, who in her application called into question DEI principles.

Councilmember members Chaps Poduri and Tina Rau are arguing in favor of approving Measure M. They believe Pacific Grove is missing out on a source of revenue when people from Pacific Grove drive to dispensaries across the Peninsula. They estimate that having a cannabis business within city limits could bring in $300,000 annually.

Tina Rau is NOT a councilmember and never should be. Taxing aquarium admissions was estimated to bring in more than twice that.

And on the no tokin’ in the Grove side

people like Kevin Hanley believe the city has a lot to lose . . . if you visit towns with the pot shops, you find a lot of blight around them.

Not seeing it. Visit Marina for local examples. Give me another reason Kevin.
