The Feminist Street Initiative aims to rename streets across the country after historic women. It comes after the fifth anniversary of the nationwide Women’s March and in the days before the start of Women’s History Month in March. The Women’s March Foundation is campaigning for streets to be named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Gloria Steinem and Maya Angelou, among others.

And Jenny McAdams jumps at the chance to virtue signal

McAdams also apologized for the event. “I am very sorry
for the pain the event has caused,” McAdams said. “It’s
time for the city to take this important step toward healing
and atonement.” McAdams said she was sorry for participating in the event

Baker said the group suspended the Herzogs’ media tour on June 29. The decision was “difficult,” but the organization’s principals are “nonpartisan” on both federal and state levels.
Baker said the organization has to focus on building and maintaining positive working relationships on both sides of the aisle on legislative and regulatory issues
“As spokespersons for (RVIA), the Herzogs’ decision to merchandise a book that does not meet the nonpartisan position of our organization distracted from our core values of political neutrality,” said Baker in the statement.
The Herzogs were shocked by the decision. They were five days into a 50-day media tour when the news hit.

Interesting viewpoint that is not normally found..
I located Sgt. Williams, and he told me the name of the eatery, that it was an ice cream shop and he had been called a “baby killer” by the owner. Professor Toro´s column was carefully crafted to not disclose the exact nature of the eatery, and my e-mail to the columnist asking for the business´s name was never answered.
So the liberal local press and Chamber of Commerce are circling the wagons to protect the ice cream shop owner mostly from himself, I suspect. The owner needs sensitivity training on how to treat soldiers the same way liberals would have conservatives do when they say something politically incorrect about minorities, gays or militant Muslims.
