It’s the last dance for Ingrid Tower and Shall We Dance, yet Tower is confronting the studio’s closure with the same grace her dancers have displayed for the past four years. There are no regrets, questions of ‘what if,’ and no finger-pointing. The simple truth is that post-recession, Tower’s studio could not sustain itself financially.
As soon as the conversion from World Savings to Wachovia completed, the place shut down and transferred all accounts to Wells Fargo.
Another empty storefront is born.

Moved to Monterey. Read the comment about the music store moving from New Monterey to P.G. Is this some kind of spy exchange?

Second hand men’s clothing store. Prices were insane, I swore that this was really some kind of speakeasy or card room in the back with the old clothes and umbrellas as a front.

Rosy article in the Pacific Grove Hometown Bulletin says there’s just one empty storefront on Lighthouse ave:

What? I counted four three empty businesses this morning:
The Hart Mansion – former restaurant (take this off the list since it’s a private residence for now)
The Wachovia Bank – good location for a restaurant with outdoor tables.
Primo – another former restaurant
Hallmark – vacant for about 50 years it seems.

Haute Dame moved from the small space at Grand & Laurel and expanded, then suddenly vanished without the usual 3 month long going out of business sale.
