Ensure a win by cheating?

It seems that a certain council member, a woman of supposedly impeccable standing, has dared to flout the very rules she is sworn to uphold. This audacious individual has been caught red-handed, brazenly erecting signs on public property long before the designated start date.
One cannot help but wonder if this flagrant disregard for the law is a mere oversight, or perhaps a calculated attempt to gain a competitive edge. After all, when one is hand-picked by existing council members, it is easy to believe oneself above the common rabble.
This council member’s feeble excuses for her transgressions are as laughable as they are insulting. They begin with a feigned ignorance of the misdemeanor, following on with a claim that it was the unknown act of an over-zealous supporter, and ending with a defiant but false assertion that the property owner’s permission was granted.
It is truly a scandal that such a person holds a position of power. Let us hope that justice will prevail, and that this individual will be held accountable for her actions.
Are the esteemed council members and mayor willing to turn a blind eye to this or hold their appointed peer accountable to the high standards of appropriate behavior of someone in office?
So she deletes them and pretends it never happened. Typical socialist moves to rewrite history.
facing backlash for confronting a group of Israeli tourists doubled down last week, stating she intended to share a video to empower people of color. Days later, though, she deleted the video and dozens of pro-Palestine posts.
The video, which The Pine Cone reported in the Aug. 16 edition after local website lighthouseavenue.com posted it, offended Jewish resident Eric Emanuel and others, who called Ybarra’s behavior “disturbing” and “antisemitic.”
Instead of telling the Israelis, one of whom Ybarra said was a “girl,” that they were in an area they were apparently not supposed to be, she asked if they supported the “genocide” of the Palestinians.
Ybarra’s online account was filled with Palestine activist-type posts, including a video earlier this year where she appeared to praise graffiti scribbled on a ski lift that stated, among other things, “free Palestine” from “Nazis and Zionists.”
But her Instagram page with the June video and other pro-Palestine posts was deleted in the last week. She also removed the Facebook video.
Good work of the seal posse helps feed the killer whales. Nature at it’s best.
According to the person filming, Evan Brodsky, these orcas had just finished feeding on sea lions earlier that day. “They were spy hopping, breaching, pec-and-tail slapping and just very social and surface active!” Brodsky told KION. “The youngsters were chasing each other, and the group were rolling together with lots of touching.”
Did it get pulled for being a hate crime? Whole site with other terrorist sympathy posts are gone. Also vanished from Ybarra’s election Instagram is the Double Down video. That one is available here though. Click to watch.
So called lifetime contract not carried over to new owners.

Jacques has called Pacific Grove Senior Living her home for 22 years. On Aug. 16, the facility gave Jacques a three-day eviction notice. The notice states that Jacques must pay her outstanding balance of about $110,000 or vacate her unit.
The issue? It was Jacques’ understanding that she would be taken care of for life — regardless of whether she outlived her savings.
The eviction notice was issued by Pacifica Senior Living, the parent company for Pacific Grove Senior Living. When Pacifica acquired the facility from California-Nevada Methodist Homes in 2022, there was an expectation that existing contracts would be honored.
Though the previous owner’s contracts were grandfathered in, their policies were not.
President of Pacific Grove Senior Living’s Residents’ Association, Bob Sadler, says that contracts for “lifetime care” like the one Jacques signed were considered unconditional under the previous owners.
Says F-you to capitalism.
So now that’s no to Jewish tourists, and no to spending when the town is full of all tourists.
Don’t think the hateful Dionne will make it.

Pacific Grove Mayor Bill Peake decided not to run for reelection, and those hoping to take his place are former PG. City Councilman Dan Miller, councilman Nick Smith and Dionne Ybarra. Those seeking a council member seat are councilman Luke Coletti, former Mayor Carmelita Garcia, Chilla Kartalov, incumbent Chaps Poduri, Tina Rau and Paul Walkingstick.
Dionne there says that home schooling is “resistance to patriarchy and colonialism”.

I agree with the commenter there, not having heard of it defined that way. It’s more like resistance to drag queen shows, DEI, perverted teachers and other woke lessons.
Here’s the checklist from Howard County Public School System, noting the items every classroom should have.

Good reason to homeschool in Harris County.

Rumor is that several PG residents who signed up and bought tickets for the PG Progressive (PGP) Launch event tomorrow have been denied access to the event. The PGP website features the importance of “Inclusiveness” and the welcoming culture of this organization. Several PG residents who wanted to attend to hear PG Progressive mayor, City Council & School Board candidates are very disappointed.
