Jesse Crow Suicide Note – Compassion???

Loser asks for compassion for the inmates? No compassion for the woman he killed or witnesses that feared for their lives? One witness is from P.G. Now that murder charges are dropped, can the D.A. go after the accomplices turned “witnesses”?

Jesse Crow Note

From the house, Crow drove his wife to a remote area north of Marina, off Highway 1 and the Del Monte Boulevard exit, where he strangled her, shot her in the head with a 9 mm handgun and smashed her skull with a hammer.

He loaded her body into the bed of his truck, and called his girlfriend Summer Donovan in Pacific Grove, asking her to meet him at the exit. She did, then followed him to his parents’ home on Langley Canyon Road in Prunedale. On the way, Crow called his girlfriend to ask if any blood was leaking from the truck bed because he thought he had killed someone.

Back in Fremont, Crow dismembered his wife’s body, stuffed her in the trash can and filled it with cement. Then, he and his girlfriend prepared to flee. They had their passports and were heading south, but Donovan was worried that Crow’s associates would report them or seek revenge.

New York Town Proposes “No Knock” List

One of the nice things about living in P.G. is that there are fewer annoying solicitors unlike Monterey. I see some hippy group once a year and the Witnesses occasionally, but it’s election time again and the canvassers are gearing up.

So the town of Rye is considering adopting a “do not knock” registry that would alert solicitors to the homes where they are not welcome.

Currently anyone going door to door, whether a vendor or on behalf of a non-profit group, needs a permit from the city clerk.

Under the new law, solicitors would have to obtain a copy of the registry and stay away from any address listed.

Riders, watch your bikes. Always lose a few to thieves every year.

Cannery Row Hogs

Officer Robert Lehman said the influx of traffic, with thousands of spectators and motorcycles coming through Monterey County, makes it necessary to have additional officers out in search of careless drivers and riders.

All drivers traveling this weekend should be extra cautious because of the thousands of motorcycles, Lehman said.

“Everybody needs to pay a little more attention, obviously motorcycles are hard to see most of the time and a lot of people can be surprised by them showing up so quick,” he said.

Are Restaurants Paying For The Use Of The Sidewalks?

In Seattle they do. And they need to keep the path clear.
Red House Sidewalk

Since Seattle eased its policy on sidewalk-cafe permits in late 2008, almost 100 cafe and restaurant owners have received approval or are awaiting approval to put cocktail tables and seats along the sidewalk, usually in heavy foot traffic and barhopping areas.

Cost: The cost of a city permit was lowered from $2,100 (and sometimes as high as $3,700) to $707 for a 100-square-foot sidewalk cafe. Annual renewal costs $253 for a 100-square-foot cafe (based on $97 renewal fee plus $1.56 per square foot.)

Time: The permit process takes about 10 days, streamlined from years past.

Rules: Downtown, sidewalk cafes must leave 6 feet of open space from the end of the sidewalk dining area to the curb or other object, such as a tree pit or parking pay station. Outside of downtown, the requirement is at least 5 feet of open space, though the city can require more.

Nader Agha Sued By His Attorneys

Attorneys he hired to sue the former owner of the Moss Landing property he bought.

Developer, antiques dealer, would-be water provider and businessman Nader Agha — who has sued or been sued plenty of times in Monterey County — is now facing allegations by his former attorneys that he hasn’t paid more than $100,000 in legal bills, according to a lawsuit filed last week.

Smart Meter Backlash – For All The Wrong Reasons

You’d think the protests would be about loss of privacy, grossly inaccurate readings or detecting that one has an indoor pot garden (this is an article from Santa Cruz), but no. People are imagining ill effects of the RF energy by them. Is it same people that became ill when moth spraying was scheduled, but didn’t happen?

Joshua Hart said he was protesting PG&E’s smart meters after researching the amount of radiation that comes from the devices.

“It’s significantly higher than cell phones. (In) brief periods of time, you have short spikes of intense electromagnetic radiation,” Hart said. PG&E started installing the smart meters in Santa Cruz County in July.

Marilyn Garret said she has a smart meter at her Aptos home.

“It makes me feel quite ill,” Garret said. “My tremors increase and (I have) very painful headaches.”

How To Prepare For AT&T UVerse Install

Frequently asked question, how do I get ready for that new Internet and TV service from AT$T? As a public service, here you go:

Holding The ATT Banner

Prepare to have your sidewalks blocked while they tear up the place:
Att Uverse Blocking Sidewalk

Then get ready to have your landscaping scalped:
Att Uverse Kills Shrubs
And prepare to have some big graffiti attracting humming cabinets plopped down on every corner:
Att Uverse More Pedestals

Prepare to have your actions monitored

Att Spies Nsa

And prepare to be underwhelmed by DSL that is faster than Red Shift but still way slower than cable. Currently only the subscribers that are within a certain distance of those cabinets can get 2 high definition channels at the same time, and if you do watch or record your 2 concurrent HD channels, your internet slows down.

Prepare to be flooded with ads, and be told that Uverse is “fiber”. It’s fiber to the humming box, then it’s passed on to the old copper lines to your home.

Prepare to pay for 16 meg down and only get 6, because you live farther from the humming box. Guess what? Both pay the same no matter what speed of service you get.

You’re welcome!

P.G.’s Ex Police Chief Gets Caught Up In Politics

Negative ads by Sheriff Kanalakis make him cry.

Miller for sheriffI don’t know, after seeing both tubbies Kanalakis and Garcia, I was thinking that Miller was the only candidate that was physicaly capable of actually being a cop.

Kanalakis spokesman Tom Kise said the problem was insufficient volume in the ad’s required “Paid for by …” statement, but said it was fixed within hours.

Miller issued a scathing statement Thursday, decrying the ad as “fraudulent” and “deceptive” and said, “Kanalakis went so far as to disguise attribution of the ads … We now have more evidence of his ham-fisted and vicious nature.”
