Man In Drag Robs Gas Station
Must have needed money for a makeover.

Michael Leslie Clouse
A Salinas man dressed in woman’s clothing was arrested early Monday after he allegedly held up a Monterey gas station.
Police said Michael Leslie Clouse, 26, of Salinas, was arrested on a charge of suspicion of armed robbery and held without bail for alleged parole violations.
Police said a robber described as an unshaven white man, wearing a black wig, a black evening dress, fishnet stockings, calf-high boots and carrying a black purse, entered the USA gas station at 2338 Del Monte Ave., shortly before 1:15 a.m., drew a handgun and demanded money, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Bingo Hall Heist Hatched In Jail
Seaside police Lt. Ron Allen said taped telephone conversations in Monterey County Jail between parolee Marcus Crooms, 24, and his girlfriend Michele Chioino, 26, revealed a conspiracy to commit a robbery that investigators say turned out to be the bingo game heist at the popular community center in Seaside.
Crooms and Chioino pleaded not guilty Thursday at their arraignment in Salinas. Both were charged with four felony counts of robbery. Each count was coupled with a gang enhancement. Both were also charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. One enhancement for a prior prison sentence was attached to Crooms’ charge.
Using vaguely coded language, Crooms gave instructions to Chioino to coordinate and buy supplies for a robbery, according to law enforcement documents. Crooms mentioned that the robbery should focus on two men manning a table, the documents say.
Miguel Hernandez, Chioino’s attorney, said she is being unfairly persecuted because of the criminal histories of some members of her extended family. One of those people is Patrick Hernandez Chioino, who in 2002 went on a 22-hour shooting and crime rampage that included robberies, carjackings and a police shoot-out in Watsonville.
“I believe the Seaside Police Department has gone way beyond proper decorum and are singling her out because of her name. I believe they are harassing her,” Hernandez said.

Northridge Mall Says It’s Gangs Are Not It’s Problem
In the light of the violent fights and shootings at the mall, the management stated that the gangs are the city’s problem.
Well when you cater to and hire gang members, gang wannabes and sell gang attire in the way it is worn by gangs, part of the problem is yours.
Northridge Mall is not a safe place for me or my family. Won’t find me there.

Man Thought Police Cruiser Was A Taxi In Santa Cruz

19-year-old Dane Ludwig was arrested Saturday night after he jumped into a stopped patrol car, mistaking it for a cab he had summoned.

The bicyclist rode off repeating, “Dude, that was a trip” The would-be fare was jailed on suspicion of being under the influence.
Who’s Behind Video Game Witch Hunts?
Self-appointed morality mavens are mounting a concerted, state-by-state campaign targeting politically incorrect video games.
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, a Democrat, is expected to sign a bill this month that will make his state the only one in the republic to ban the sale of violent video games to minors.
Sen. Hillary Clinton, that weather vane of modern Democratic Party politics, complained about video games in March: “Probably one of the biggest complaints I’ve heard is about some of the video games, particularly ‘Grand Theft Auto,’ which has so many demeaning messages about women and so encourages violent imagination and activities and it scares parents.”
Clinton may be a relatively new senator, but she has mastered an important Washington lesson: You get what you pay for. Social science researchers receiving fat paychecks from politicos with agendas have a strong incentive to shape their results accordingly.

Yes, the ones that are going to SAVE us, the ones that want to take away your guns, scanner radios, SUVs, freedom to walk amongst the tidepools – the Dems.

Nazism? Foul four letter words? I’d donate to a fund that would give these folks a free trip to Baghdad to set up the same educational effort to the enemy.

Carmel Student Caught With Gun On Campus
Action is being taken after a gun and ammunition were seized from a 15-year-old Carmel High School student.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department confiscated the .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol at school on Wednesday, along with 33 rounds of ammunition. No one was hurt.
According to investigators, the gun belongs to the Carmel student’s guardian — a grandparent. The student has been suspended and will be expelled, according to officials. Both he and his guardian could face criminal charges.
And this wasn’t an isolated incident. Less than a month ago, a boy brought a gun to Pacific Grove Middle School. The gun belonged to his guardian — a Seaside police officer.
Sam The Sham Farr’s Uneducated Remark Stirs Letter Writers
In a Nov. 4 Herald article, Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, stated, “I think if the rest of the country had invested in higher education like California, you would have had a more educated electorate and a California outcome in the rest of the country.” What an outrageous statement.
By the way, I hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and I’ll hold my education up to Farr’s any day of the week. And guess what. I voted for George Bush. Farr just insulted more than half of the voting public in the United States. What arrogance.
There are probably a number of words to describe a person with his attitude. To me, the word snob comes to mind.

====Rep. Sam Farr’s comment, “I think if the rest of the country had invested in higher education like California, you would have had a more educated electorate and a California outcome in the rest of the country,” demonstrates just how far out of touch with reality the Democratic Party really is.
As this self-declared savant knows full well, California ranked 44th in “smartness” (see www.morganquitno.com) of the 50 states last year — that must be why the state keeps sending people like Farr back to Congress.

Rep. Sam Farr’s blaming President Bush’s victory on the status of the nation-wide education system is an insult to all that live in a red state. There are some pretty good universities in those states. Notre Dame, Duke, Purdue, Wake Forest, LSU and Drake come to mind. This sort of reckless, holier-than-thou statement is the exact reason the Democrats lost this past election. As long as the pretentious, liberal wing of the Democratic Party with these sorts of declarations prevails, the Democrats will continue to be defeated in nationwide elections.

In the Nov. 4 Herald, Rep. Sam Farr is quoted as saying, “I think if the rest of the country had invested in higher education like California, you would have had a more educated electorate and a California outcome in the rest of the country.”So I guess he’s saying that most of the states in the union are populated by a bunch of illiterate idiots, unable to make informed decisions because they are so stupid.
On behalf of all my friends and family that are spread out all across the country, thank you, Mr. Farr.

Sam The Sham Farr Takes Foot Out Of Mouth

In a Nov. 4 Herald article, “Four more years met with joy, ire” I was quoted responding to a question about the difference between how California votes and how the country at large votes. My answer, possibly too flip, was however the result of my frustration over the number of people who cast a vote having been poorly informed or misled about the Bush administration’s failures and deflections, coupled with a feeling of pride about California’s higher education system and our well-informed electorate. I can understand why some readers coming across my quote misunderstood my intentions.
California also chose a Republican Governor. Put the foot back and shut the heck up.
