Unlike the dreary picture painted by Moe Ammar, things are more upbeat across the border.

Although getting reservations was a bit challenging this time around, for a local restaurant it was more challenging back in 2000.

“We were not even half as busy with our reservations as we are this year in 2010, big increase in reservations,” said Joanne Marshall, manager at Fish Hopper.

“Of course its helping our staff, we have extra staff so it’s really helping us all around and bringing our folks out to Cannery Row to see what we have out here,” said Marshall.

The Fish Jail is beginning to lose my support with it’s preaching. Besides, where in the Monterey Bay does one find Pink Flamingos?

Recently they unveiled the “Hot Pink Flamingo” exhibit which is all about ways to reduce your carbon footprint. That is exactly when one of its items on display, a life sized replica of a cow stirred up some controversy. The display aims to teach how methane gas released from cows could be captured to generate electricity, but some dairy farmers were not a fan of the display.

The woman admitted she does not remember the details of having intercourse with Pollacci, but knows she was at the liquor store and something bad happened at the Pacific Grove liquor store owned by Pollacci’s family.

KSBW reports that Jesse Crow was arrested in a traffic stop in P.G. He’d been seeing Summer Donovan of P.G. He carries a medical marijuana card – a response given when popped for growing over 300 pot plants in a house in Prunetucky.

Crow’s first husband, Cody May, revealed new details to Central Coast News about the days leading up to his ex-wife’s disappearance. “She said she was trying to sever the ties,” explained May when questioned about the last time he spoke to Crow.

May said he spoke to her about a month ago. She told him she was going through a messy split with her husband Jesse Crow. “She had left him and was calling me again because every time she was with him I wouldn’t get a call, and when she wasn’t with him I would,” he added.

Jesse Crow has avoided all organized searches for his wife, as well as the media spotlight. Police, however, said he is cooperating with investigators.

Ron Usrey, 42, Shawn Usrey, 38, Sila Lualemana, 46, all from Seaside, were taken into custody Friday night; deputies say one of the three men was “very intoxicated” inside the Lodge’s Tap Room and was asked to leave. According to a press statement, the suspect struck the security guard; while Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies tried to gain control of that suspect, the two others attempted to choke the security guard

In all the news articles reporting on this there is no mention whatsoever of the suspicious fire at the David Avenue apartment complex that happened around the same time.

Nathan Augustine, age 28 of Pacific Grove, pled guilty to two counts of arson and admitted using an incendiary device.

Police searched Augustine’s house and found numerous containers of lighter fluid, gloves similar to gloves found at the Lattitudes Restaurant, and the unique symbol similar to the British Union Jack with additional lines through it. Augustine was arrested and confessed to the crimes.

When the city requested more information as to the nature of the business they claim that they were told the business would retail ” various health and beauty products, natural vitamins, aroma therapy products, and instruction books and DVDs.”

“Unfortunately, the information provided to the Planning Division was not complete,” said City Manager Fred Cohn. The city learned through media reports that MyCaregiver was operating as a Medical Marijuana Dispensary.

Monterey is also threatening the building’s owners with a daily fine.
