Repeat Offender Repeats Arrest

Same Scott Russo famous for robbing the store he was hired to manage?

Monterey County Detectives say they recovered a ‘trove’ of property after a Pebble Beach burglary. Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit followed up on a home burglary there. They located a house on the 1100 block of W. Alisal Street in Salinas. After serving a warrant there, investigators say they found the stolen property.
Detectives arrested 49-year-old Scott Russo, of Monterey County in Del Rey Oaks.

McAdams Says Biological Males Can Get Pregnant

And they have a right to abortions.

How stupid is Jenny? No wonder she’s always a stable shovel full of ideas.

In response to the council resolution, P.G. resident Kirstie Wilde asked the council in an  email message if the resolution was “scientific” and made the city “look plainly stupid.”

McAdams responded to Wilde, first claiming that “trans women”— those who are born male but identify and live as female — can get pregnant.

It’s time to defund the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force, a scam that has not really added any value to the city it seems.

Success Lies In Seltzer

Hint, it’s fermented. And we have not yet hit peak “wood fired pizza” with $18.00 breadsticks it seems.

Seltzery

Yelp photo

Bringing an effervescence to Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, the California Seltzer Co. has begun filling the space at 631 Ocean View Blvd. to become the first “seltzery” in California.

Veronica Camp, one of the founders of the company, said that during the process of creating the hard seltzer the company is known for, the subject of opening a seltzery was jokingly brought up but gained steam the more the idea was tossed about.

The seltzer is made from fermented cane sugar, a malt base, and the addition of different flavors to create unique profiles, such as hibiscus-lime, pineapple-lemon, and berry-rush, making the seltzer as refreshing as possible and not overly sweet, explained Camp. Hard seltzer refers to the alcohol content, which comes in at 4.5% by volume, similar to what is found in a light beer, but the hard seltzer is under 100 calories, below 2 grams of sugar, and is gluten-free.

Section Of Sunset Scores A Sidewalk

Between Congress ave and 17 Mile Drive. Great news for bicycles that don’t ride where they belong.

The small stretch of road is not near any hotels or services, so it’s unclear how often the new pathway will be used, especially by tourists. And it’s an uphill climb from 17 Mile Drive to Congress, which could make for a difficult trek for people in non-motorized wheelchairs and those with other disabilities.

Now the new outdoor dining at Leaning Red House.

No Rusty Garden

Today we closed the doors on a dream that came true to own our own store. It wasn’t easy but we persevered through some tough times. We could not have made it without the help of friends, family support and of course you. We hope you remember the store as a serene, comforting oasis as we do

NOAA Building Becomes A Home For Mom.

Just like the older Panetta that lost Fort Ord, the younger one fails to save government land.

last week, the Monterey Herald talked to one of the buyers, Tianzhi Chu, who told the newspaper he bought the building so his mother and real estate partner, Yuncheng Huang, could live there.

A local group, which calls itself COAST, wanted the building donated to the City of Pacific Grove and turned into a science and environmental center. According to COAST, “more than 2,500 residents, including leading oceanographers, marine biologists and other scientists,”
signed a petition urging that the property be used for  marine scientific research and education.”

Congressman Jimmy Panetta has backed that plan, and he  repeatedly called for the property to be taken off the auction
block because, he said, the federal Public Buildings Reform Board “failed to engage with local stakeholders.”
