Tax dollars at work. I thought there were no dogs allowed on the beach?
A small, white “Jack Russell terrier”-type dog decided to go for an impromptu swim Wednesday afternoon while walking with its owners on a Pacific Grove beach.
The dog swam out to a rock about 10 feet offshore near Beach Street and Ocean View Boulevard.
The dog didn’t swim back.
The owners called police, who alerted state lifeguards about the pooch on the perch, said fire Capt. Jim Brown.
Seriously?! Let’s risk HUMAN life for 2 irresponsible dog owner’s “pet”.
I hope a ticket was written for dog-off-leash, and a bill is sent to them in the mail.
Get a life the dog was only ten feet from shore. If that was a risk to the life of our trained rescue personel then we should be getting them some better training.
You don’t think there was a risk involved? Interesting.
My guess is they faced more risk driving to work for that shift. I see children 10′ off shore all the time
