P.G. Mothers Calling For Boycott Of Ron’s Liquor

Like boycotting the “We Don’t Serve Your Kind Here” ice cream shoppee, it’s an attention getter in P.G.
Rons Liquor Trash 080720

The anonymous group called Peninsula Mothers United to Protect our Children sent out emails to the news media on their cause. They say, “We demand that the Pollacci family sell the business. And we also demand that Tom Pollacci stay out of Pacific Grove.”

Pollacci calls the Pebble Beach area home.

The email from the concerned mothers continues on, claiming, “He hangs out on the sidewalk harassing girls who walk by.”

  1. GO Mom’s! At least someone is making a stand to get scum bags out of town… Or at least making people aware that these scum bags are out there and CLOSE to you. I love this blog of yours… Thanks for keeping the information honest and on going.

  2. well as for the trash being outside and full it looks as tho NOT everyone one is on board… I think its great Please don’t put the family into this they have been in PG forever and for us PG folks their are alot of us who do shop there

  3. now there is true info he dose not own them thanks handy for posting something correct

  4. IWORKED AT THAT STORE FOR 3 YEARS AND TOMMY WOULD RUN AFTER ANY GIRL WHO WALKED BY. YES GET RID OF HIM BUT DON`T MAKE THE FAMILY SUFFER — DAD IS REALLY NICE.

  5. Abel Maldonado said he’ll consider proposing a bill that would prevent registered sex offenders from working in liquor stores and other businesses where they can check IDs and have access to customers’ personal information.
“Allowing registered sex offenders to view a person’s driver’s license, thereby allowing them to obtain important contact information like the person’s address, is extremely dangerous,” Maldonado said.
Maldonado made the comments to The Pine Cone after learning that registered sex offender and liquor store worker Thomas Pollacci, 49, was charged with three felony counts of rape stemming from an April 2008 incident. Pollacci’s family owns Ron’s Liquors in Pacific Grove, and he has worked there for years.

  6. so does any one know what the latest is on the boycott? I hope the store is getting lots of business from the free Publicity by the looks of the trash its been a busy day for the new full-time employee the store has been here for years. i will continue to go in the store I think boycotting the store a action on the family and look they have put their time in and served this town for years and are still willing to keep their doors open for who? you ? think about it ….

  7. I agree with cowgirl (Jeanie Anton too) don’t lose sight of how much good this family has done over the years in having sex offenders, perverts and creeps provide the community with wildly marked up booze and cigarettes. Oh and lotto tickets too. So, in summary, the Pollacci family has graced this community by providing us gambling, alcohol, tobacco and sex perverts.

Of course, all of these civic virtues are in the city’s founding document, the Pacific Grove Charter. Perhaps P.G. history teacher Jeanie Anton can help you locate them?

    Boycott the following:
Cork N’ Bottle at 1112 Forest Ave. P.G.
    Ron’s Liquors at 613 Lighthouse Ave. P.G.
Ron’s Liquors in Carmel at San Carlos and 7th.

  8. I went to the courthouse on Aguajito Road once & the sheriff there has a SO list on the computer you can see. I wonder if it has more info than we can get on the net?

  9. Isn’t this the liquor store that has been so opposed to the Farmer’s Market and has just recently proposed the market be moved?

Guess management knew the store created a danger to market attendees.

    Very civic minded, actually.
