What you all fail to understand is that recognizing failure doesn’t equal hate. In fact when combined with a desire to improve, it indicates love of country. It is well documented that the Nazis based their laws in significant ways on Jim Crow and the black codes. It is a sad fact, but it’s a fact. You can stick your fingers in your ears and chant lalalalalalala but it’s still true. The goal of Ms. Ingram is to encourage people to learn from it and do better. That’s my hope as well. Does it make you hate the US knowing this is true about our past? Or are you going to just deny it is true? I know where my money is.
