The Pacific Grove City Council voted 7-0 Wednesday night to increase speed limits from 25 to 30 mph along nine stretches of city streets.
According to state law, speed limits are set slightly below the 85th percentile of a recent three-month survey conducted on city streets. The speed limit increase is the only legal way the police department can enforce radar.
Woohoo! Rev it up. The streets are:
- Central from Eardley to Fourth
- David from Devisadero to Congress (my favorite – look out LOLs exiting CC Gate)
- Forest from Holman Highway to Hillcrest
- Jewell Pacific to Lighthouse
- Lighthouse from Asilomar to 17 Mile Drive
- Patterson from Funston to David
- Pine from Eardley Avenue to Alder
- 17 Mile Drive from Sinex to Lighthouse
- Sinex from Congress to 17 Mile Drive
