Don’t Count On Sleeping In Sunday – Time For The Not Big Sur Half-Fast Marathon

The noisy runners will be slogging along Ocean View at 7am, November 9. It’s not in Big Sur, its not an entire marathon – it’s over quick, so it’s the Not Big Sur Half Fast Marathon..

The sixth annual presentation of the Big Sur Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, Nov. 9, drawing both elite runners and recreational enthusiasts to compete in a variety of running and walking events.

Set along the scenic Monterey Bay coastline, the 13.1 mile race travels a gently rolling loop course from historic downtown Monterey through Cannery Row, along the Pacific Grove coastline and back to the start.

  1. I’m sick of this sh*t.
If the city fathers are going to tell me I can’t park in front of my own house, in order to accomodate one of their ever increasing number of BS marathons, etc. and it’s (imagined) economic benefit to the city, then I’d like to ask them:

    WHERE’S MY CUT?

  2. Ever heard of walking, bicycling, or taking the bus? Even for one day! Get rid of your polluting, foreign oil consuming vehicle you hypocrite!
