During the Halloween weekend, close to five dozen posts in Carmel Valley, Los Laureles Grade and Pebble Beach were yanked from the ground, according to Dwyer, who fielded calls from many agents requesting the signs be re-erected. She said the vandalism has been occurring once a month for the past half year.
The Dwyers charge $18 to reinstall the signs, unless one client has several down in the same area, in which case the fee drops to $8 per sign.
Hmm. Signs get torn down, someone gets paid to replace the signs, signs get torn down, rise, repeat. A somewhat related issue I have is with real estate barons blocking sidewalks every weekend. Keep it off to the side, or I will stop and move the sign so that the path is clear.

Just curious.. did anyone of you show up last night to the *issing contest? I was in the area, due to the Parade of Lights going on, I did some covert surveilance and observed a male (I suspect in his late 70’s) balding, about 400lbs, 5ft 5 pacing up and down in the vicinity with a bulge in his jacket, from what I don’t know. Was privvy to him having a rather severe touretts outburst, I became uncomfortable and left shortly thereafter

Was the holiday parade of Volkswagens any good? I got to town at 7:30 and the street looked like any other night in P.G., deserted except for a small gathering at the old Top Hat market.
It was a really crap parade, actually. You didn’t miss much. Low budget, definitely. Don’t quite understand as to why did the police had to be in the parade?
The only highlight was when one horse (sans rider) headbutted another horse (sans rider) I thought there was going to be a scuffle.
Would of been a nice touch if the City of PG could have at least sprung for hot mulled cider for the folks that came out.
Disappointing overall, wont be bothering with it next year.
