Should Rebecca be allowed to drive at 76 with the ailments in addition to being unable to maintain auto registration? At least re-examine her at the DMV.
In a July 9 complaint, Rebecca Joanna Rousso, 76, contends that she was driving on 17 Mile Drive near Sunridge Road on May 27, 2025, at about 7:40 p.m. when she was stopped by the CHP for an expired vehicle registration.
“The initial allegation was driving under the influence of drugs,” according to Rousso’s lawsuit, which was filedin Monterey County superior Court.
The woman said she informed the two male officers of her myriad ailments, including heart problems, type 2 diabetes, degenerative knee disease, respiratory disease, prior stroke, and expressive aphasia — a neurological language disorder that impairs a person’s ability to speak.
