Using public parks without contributing. Yah, there’s a few but there are more nuisances that are obviously not visitors. See them all the time.

I told y’all (that’s my Texas accent) that there’s money to be made using a patch of land by the water tanks to build the John Denver Memorial R.V. Park. But no, Garfield does not welcome visitors that avoid to town’s overpriced ramshackle motels or $25 pasta/butter plates.
A proposal by councilmember Cynthia Garfield to overhaul the city’s ordinances on overnight parking and oversized vehicles passed with an uncontested 7-0 vote at last Wednesday’s meeting, with recommendations for the traffic and safety commission to clarify the hours of enforce ment, limit daytime RV parking along the coastline, and possibly increase overnight parking fines to match the average price of a hotel room in town.
“We also know that those folks — I refer to them as the $250,000 RVs from Texas — are not staying at hotels and are probably not dining at restaurants. They’re getting a free vacation while inconveniencing the people who live here and the other people who are visiting,” she argued.
