The project, which is being done by Nor-Cal Contractor, is supposed to be wrapped up by April 4, possibly sooner, before the city’s April 13-14 Good Old Days celebration.
Unlike many public works endeavors, the $190,000 intersection project is being paid for with a $309,000 bequest made in 2007 by Jeannette McIndoo to help beautify downtown, restore the Point Pinos Lighthouse and plant trees.
